Psst – the programmable soundscape toy was a research project together with Åsa Harvard at the Narrativity Studio in Malmö. It evolved into a fictional universe with nine quite bizarre, handheld and movable, characters, the psstians, that live their lifes on coloured boxes, connected to a large database of event sounds and utterings in nonsense language. Sound artist Hanna Hartman created the sonic universe and actor Niels Bender the voices, and children at the day care center Garvergarden in Copenhagen made the psstians come alive.
